| Runnells Park & Recreation Board |
| The Runnells Park and Recreation Board is seeking an interested person to fill one vacant seat on the Park Board (city residency not required). The Park Board consists of five members, with a minimum of three residents from the City of Runnells and a liaison from the City Council. This Board sets rules, recommends improvements and generally oversees all aspects of our beautiful City Park. We meet once a month with meetings lasting about one hour. If you have an interest in contributing a small amount of your time to the improvement and maintenance of the Runnells Area Park, please contact Runnells City Hall at 966-2042 or anyone listed below. | Operation of Golf Carts on City Streets Ordinance 11-11-08 (Yearly Permit) No person shall operate a golf cart on any public street or alley, for any purpose, unless the operator possesses a City of Runnells permit. Golf carts may be operated upon the City streets by persons possessing a valid Iowa operator's license and at least 17 years of age, except as prohibited in Section 22.03. For more details about the required equipment, hours of operation, and acquiring a permit, please see the complete ordinance at City Hall. |
| We have an urgent need to fill 2 positions on the board! The Library Board consists of five members, three residents within city limits and two residing in the surrounding Runnells community. The current openings are for one member from within city limits, and one from the surrounding area. We meet every other month, and the meetings range from 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Aside from attending the bi-monthly meeting, trustees help with library programming, organizing summer library, updating policies, participating in community events, and more. Official Vendor Meeting on Wednesday, May 8th at 7:00pm at the Runnells Community Building. This informational meeting is for anyone interested in vending on Wednesday, July 24 during the RAGBRAI pass through in Runnells. Local business owners in and around the town of Runnells are also encouraged to attend. Applications to be an official vendor will be available that night, along with State of Iowa health requirements, required fees and insurance information.
