|Runnells Park & Recreation Board
|The Runnells Park and Recreation Board is seeking an interested person to fill one vacant
seat on the Park Board (city residency not required).
The Park Board consists of five members, with a minimum of three residents from the City of Runnells
and a liaison from the City Council. This Board sets rules, recommends improvements and generally
oversees all aspects of our beautiful City Park.
We meet once a month with meetings lasting about one hour. If you have an interest in contributing a
small amount of your time to the improvement and maintenance of the Runnells Area Park, please
contact Runnells City Hall at 966-2042 or anyone listed below.

|We have an urgent need to fill 2 positions on the board!
The Library Board consists of five members, three residents within city limits and two residing in the
surrounding Runnells community. The current openings are for one member from within city limits, and
one from the surrounding area. We meet every other month, and the meetings range from 1 to 1 1/2
Aside from attending the bi-monthly meeting, trustees help with library programming, organizing summer
library, updating policies, participating in community events, and more. If you have an interest in helping
the library serve the community, please contact City Hall at 966-2042

|In case of an extended power outage, the Runnells fire station is set up with
emergency power and heat. Please stop by if you need a warm place to
hang out. Local radio stations will announce when it is in operation, and
contact information if a ride is needed.

If you did not receive a letter in the mail from the Runnells City Council regarding
interest in housing Rehabilitation and you live in the city of Runnells please call
If you have any outgrown baseball gear that you would like to donate to the
Runnells Little League please drop into the box at City Hall M-F 9-3:30.
Construction will begin soon (weather permitting), for a cell tower which will be
located on the south end of the park. Verizon will have equipment on this tower,
and hopefully soon other carriers will follow. See the picture below for the finished
tower, it will be approximately 175 feet tall.
