What is a lending library you ask? Basically, it means that if we do not happen to have a certain book that you are looking for in stock, we may be able to find the book at another local library and have it sent to our location for you. All you need to do is e-mail or call our librarian, Carole Adams, and let her know the book that you are searching for. She can then search our database and see if it is available at another library. If the book is available, Carole can request that the book be lent to our library. When the book arrives at the Runnells Community Library we will call and let you know that you can stop in and pick it up. It is that simple! We have had patrons use this service in the past and found it to be very helpful. Especially when you find an author that you really enjoy or have a book series that you are following. |
